Longdong University is a full-time comprehensive provincial undergraduate college located in Qingyang City, Gansu Province. It was formerly the Qingyang Teachers College established in 1978 with the approval of the State Council. Qingyang Agricultural School was incorporated as a whole. In 2003, Longdong College was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Qingyang Health School was merged as a whole in 2012. In 2015, it was listed as the first batch of pilot universities for transformation and development by Gansu Province. The school implements a system of co-construction of provinces and territories and a province-based school system.

Longdong University offers literature, history and geography, foreign languages, education, politics and law, economic management, mathematics and statistics, life science and technology, agriculture and forestry technology, music, fine arts, sports, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, information engineering, civil engineering, and energy engineering 20 secondary colleges, colleges of mechanical engineering, medical school, Marxism college and continuing education college, enrolling 51 majors, involving 11 disciplines such as arts, science, teaching, engineering, agriculture, management, law, and medicine.
