Anhui Science and Technology University is in Fengyang, the city of history and culture. The university is on the bank of the charming river, Huaihe. The university was founded in 1950, and it started providing undergraduate degrees after 15 years of its establishment. With the development of half of a century, the university has been a modern multidisciplinary university, including business, arts, economy, law, administration, science, engineering, medicine, and so on. The university has the glory of enlightening thousands of graduates of different nationalities. It is now a study destination for most international students from all over the world.
Departments and Disciplines
The university is offering 35 undergraduate specialties in ten schools of individual disciplines. The schools are The School of Animal Science, The School of Plant Science, The School of Life Science, The School of Foreign Languages, The School of Physical Education, The School of Further Education, The School of Administration, The School of Art and Law, The School of Science, The School of Technology. A few of the prominent specialties of the university are Food Science and Engineering, Agronomy, Biotechnology, Animal Science, Machine Design, Electronic Information Engineering, Electromechanical Education, Manufacture and Automation, Marking Education, International Economy and Trade, English, Traditional Chinese Medicine, etc. There are two model specialties in the Anhui Educational Project from the specialties of the university. Students and Faculties
Every year the university admits 12,000 full-time students, including 11,161 undergraduate students from many different countries. There are 800 staff and teachers at the university. The number of faculty members is 572, and there are 145 professors and associate professors, 283 are doctoral and master’s degree holders, 45 are provincially acknowledged top talents and disciplinary forerunners, and 23 are Excellent teachers of State. The teachers are very cooperative with the students. They supervise research projects of students very exquisitely.
